About Me

My name is Yuchen Tu and I am currently a sophomore undergraduate student majoring in Statistics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Central China Normal University.

Since March 2026, I have been a research intern at the Medical Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Westlake University, under the guidance of Prof. Yefeng Zheng and Dr. Zhipeng Deng. Huge thanks to Dr. Zhipeng Deng for his generous guidance and support, which have made this research experience truly memorable and helped me make significant progress.

Research Interests

My research centers on Trustworthy Medical AI. I am particularly interested in how medical safety risks are transferred, amplified, or overlooked across diverse scenarios, especially in low- and medium-resource settings. Specifically,

  • Medical LLM Safety and Alignment: post-training safety alignment, safety evaluation, jailbreak robustness.
  • Medical AI and Healthcare Foundation Models: reliable AI systems for biomedical and clinical applications.
  • Bioinformatics and Single-cell Omics: computational methods for biomedical data analysis.

  • Translation and Quality-Control Pipeline for Medical Safety Data
    Designing a reproducible pipeline for translating medical safety prompts, preserving high-risk clinical spans, and auditing semantic and safety consistency across languages.

  • CT Degradation-Aware Restoration
    Exploring degradation simulation, degradation perception, restoration planning, and downstream evaluation for CT images under noise, blur, sparse-view, limited-angle, and stripe/ring artifacts.
